Love Your Shot

I love this shot, we were at Edaville and she was watching her big brother on the tilt-a-wheel. She just wasn't quite brave enough to go with him. The thing was though probably only 30 minutes prior she had been separated from us and we were in a fit trying to find her. That had to be the scariest moment of my life. I don't even want to think about if I couldn't see that smile again.

This picture was just taken at the begining of this month and I've already forgotten how I processed it. But I'm pretty sure it was done with a Florabella action (I think from the Luxe collection) because I LOVE those! Note to self write this stuff down!

Check out some other entries, they're all pretty amazing!

Chalk

Well this week at http://www.iheartfaces.com/ is the theme chalk. Unfortunately I don't have any clever fantastic chalk images and with this rain not sure I'll go out and try for any right now but I've put it on my idea list because I still have how many more days of my 365 project? Anyway I did find this one and though its not fabulous I do like the way her little tongue sticks out while she's drawing with her chalk.

Now go see some fantastic images at

Flynn Family

I figured even though the blog isn't completly finished yet I should still try and post some teasers for clients even if they don't check the site out. This blog is still a work in progress and hopefully I'll have time this winter to get it the way I want it but in the meantime I'm going to try and post client teasers here as well. So Flynn family here is a random sampling of some of your images. I had so much fun walking around the old Westborough State Hospital with you guys. Going through some of the images I just wanted to use all kinds of fun processes. Anyway here you go, the rest will be ready in less than 2 weeks!

Fix It Friday

It's another Fix it Friday from http://www.iheartfaces.com/ I looked forward to these every Friday. This was not a picture taken by me but from a woman whose husband was just recently deployed. I've been complaining how hard it's been here with my husband only gone for 2 weeks and every day I think about our military families and think how hard it must be for them. I can't even imagine. They truly are heroes in every sense of the word.

SOOC:

Done with a little seventies action applied:

And then the BW option:

Go check out some other edits, think about trying it yourself!

Smirk

This weeks picture on iheartfaces.com is "Smirk" and one of the first pictures I thought of was this one:

My daughter always has this look like "look how sweet I am?" But we here in this house know what trouble looks like. Love you K with each and every "smirk" you have.

Here again is my Friday Fix it for http://www.iheartfaces.com/ I really enjoy doing these it really makes me think of how much I need to improve on. Like the sky, I really need to learn how to put it back in the picture when it gets blown out. Maybe for another one. For right now here is what I did.

All About Me

So I'm taking this online photography class called "finding your joy" which is basically a class to focus on getting us out from behind the camera to in front of it. I learned how great the remote trigger thing is for the camera. So I ran out and got one right away. Then my favorite photoshop tool? Liquefy! OMG, how did I not know about this before. I'm sure there is more to it but I've learned to "pucker" and you can "bloat" too but why in the hell anyone would want to bloat anything is beyond me, but pucker! Pucker away..... hehehe! Anyway our homework was to take at least 20 self portraits this week that capture me so here goes:

My Summer In Review

I heart Faces http://www.iheartfaces.com/ week 36 is my summer in review. We did everything that summers are made of. Lounging by the pool, trips to the beach, sleeping in, amusement parks, water parks, riding lessons, splash pads, ice cream trips, baseball games you name it. But one thing that always reminds me of summer is fruit picking. Since we moved out to Massachusetts 3 years ago, every summer I take the kids out. We start out in June with strawberries and end the summer with Raspberries. I always know summer is over when it's time to start picking apples. This year both my kids did great and I hardly had to help. I could focus on what's really important; the Pictures! Enjoy!
