Sneak Peek Mother & Daughter

Here is a brief random sneak peek for you Sue. It was so fun photographing you and your mom. You both are doing some great things. All the Binkeez being delivered to the NICU at St. Francis Hospital well that is just so generous of you both. Thank you for being my very on advocate and wanting me to photograph everything wonderful that happens to you both. I'm not sure what I've done to deserve your support but I'm glad I've met you and look forward to our continued work together. Now on to finish those Newborn pics and Babes and tots for Bel Scriba!

Pet Faces with I heart Faces

This week on I heart Faces is the theme: Pet Faces. I have lots of our Faithful friend Jack. He was my first baby after all. But this one just doesn't show how handsome my 7 year old Black Lab is it shows his personality. He doesn't have the patience to wait for me to throw the ball to him. He'll just get it himself! Everyone who knows Jack loves him and though he drives me nuts sometimes and I wonder "will he ever outgrow puppy hood?" I love him and he's a part of our family in a big big way! Thank you Jumping Jack for showing us what love is!

Self Portrait I heart Faces

The theme this week at I heart faces is self portrait. I took a little online workshop though Willette Photography called "Finding Your Joy" and it was all about getting yourself in front of the camera. It was super fun. And so I put this together one morning. Yes I know it's not perfect. There are a ton of mistakes in it. But this was the first time I tried anything like this before. I had a little something in mind and I went for it. Maybe one day I'll try and do a better job but right now it will do. In my house we call this "a bunch of mommies"

Sneak Peek for Bel Scriba Babes & Tots

I'm going to have way to much fun editing all the great pictures we took the day following the Newborn shoot. Sneak Peak for Bel Scriba Newborns

We had a wonderful 3 hour session with the sweetest newborn. He sure didn't want to miss out on the action but he did eventually dose off into a blissful slumber. Ahh what a cute little guy he is. Anyway here are the random teasers. The rest (and I do believe there will be quite a bit) will be ready in less than 3 weeks time. I'm going to get started on the Babes and Tots session next. So many cuties enjoying their Binkeez!

Scenic Black & White with I Heart Faces

This is one of my all time favorite photos I took. And the best part is it was taken with my old (5+ years) camera and a kit lens. I get so annoyed when people say "oh your camera takes nice pictures" I'd like to answer back "your mouth makes nice complements" (I can't take credit for that line I read it somewhere before but it stuck with me). I can hand over my expensive camera to my husband and let me tell you he can't get anything better than if he took it with his iPhone. It's not about the equipment it's about your vision.

I'm Finding My Holiday Joy

This month will be all about documenting Christmas memories for me (and finishing up that 365 project I started at the beginning of the year). It all started yesterday when we got the stuff out and decorated the tree and the house. This is one of our new ornaments this year

This is our Nutcracker and he reports to Santa on the happenings in our house, we always know who is on the naughty or nice list!

And this is why the kids can't decorate by themselves. They don't yet understand the concept of spacing.

And from Finding My Joy, I've learned to include myself in some pictures. Because if I don't do it myself I'll end up in no pictures of me and I fear my kids will wonder if I was really around.

And a couple of my favorite ornaments.

I'm really looking forward to the upcoming holiday joy!

This week on I Heart Faces the theme is paper. I thought I would be a little corny and do the whole colorizing thing. We call this piece, Color on Paper.

Bel Scriba

So have you heard that mQn Photography has teamed up with Bel Scriba (http://www.belscriba.com/)? They are the makers of these wonderful and I mean wonderful; so wonderful I think I'd like to have another baby now! blankets & burp cloths. The fabric is so soft and washes so well, you're going to want them all! She's re-doing her website and wants me to take all the new pictures. I'm super excited. The best part of this deal is for my clients with babies (children under 3). Any newborn/baby (under 3 months) that books a session with me will get their very own personalized Binkeez (blanket with their name and birth date embroidered) and a child under 3 years will get her newest creation Bloomeez (bloomers with sayings on the butt). So cute! Here is a sneak peak of what is to come!

Silhouette--I Heart Faces

This week's theme is Silhouette. I thought I would pick one that included me and Jack. I'm never in any pictures and last month my goal was to include myself a bit so it's my self portrait silhouette.
